It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Charles 'Chickie' MacIntyre on Monday, April 29, 2013, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Donald and Irene (Burns) MacIntyre. He was employed at Sydney Steel Corp. for 30 years.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 40 years, Raylene (Hureau); his sons, Donald (Julia), David (Amy) and daughter, Charlene; brothers, Donnie (Marilyn), Gussie (Chris); sisters, Joan, Irene, Beverly, Clare (Neil), Mary; sisters-in-law, Andre (John) Tobin and Ann Robertson. He was papa to Emma, Braydon and Brynn, whom he loved dearly. Also surviving are his numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Dougie and Robert and sister-in-law, Margaret.
Visitation for Mr. MacIntyre will take place on Thursday at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 3 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Daniel Church with Rev. Donald MacGillivary officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
