We, the family of the late Idella Gillis, Westmount, extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who gave us comfort and support during our mother’s illness and passing. To our neighbours, friends, relatives and co-workers who sent food, flowers, on-line condolences, mass and sympathy cards, who phoned, visited, attended the wake or funeral mass and made donations to charities in Mom’s memory - your kindness will never be forgotten. Thank you to Georgia and Dr. Liam Orrell, Dr. Juris Lazovskis, Cape Breton County Homemakers and the staff of 4B and 4C at CBRH for the ongoing care they gave Mom. Thank you to the numerous neighbours and friends who selflessly gave their time and support to help Mom remain in her home during a ten year illness and especially Beryl Sutherland for her tireless devotion to "Nana". We are truly grateful to the staff of T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel for their professional guidance and support. Our sincere appreciation to Fr. Dan MacInnis and the Holy Rosary Parish Choir for the moving celebration of our mother’s life and to the CWL for forming an Honor Guard and for preparing the beautiful lunch. A very special thank you to the Sutherland family who were an important part of their Nana’s funeral service and to her ten grandsons who were her pallbearers – Nana/Nanny would be so proud.
