Born in Trail, B.C., Art passed away peacefully at home in Sechelt, B.C. on Sunday, April 21, 2013.
He is survived by daughter Cathy (Dave Williams), son Roy (Anne Pfitzinger), grandkids Evan, Olivia, Theo, Eve and Gabriel and nephew Jaime Stallwood.
Art was predeceased by his wife Olga (Bardal), daughter Joan and sister Isabelle.
A graduate of UBC Mining Engineering ('59), Art was retired from CIL (ICI) where he was National Sales Manager for bulk explosives.
Art was active in the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy for many years. An ACBL Life Master, Art will be best remembered for his love of fishing, hunting, wintering in Zihautenejo and his cherished friendships in Sechelt and around the world.
In keeping with his wishes, there will not be a visitation or burial ceremony.
