With great sadness the family of William Chester Johnson of Crestwynd, announces his passing on May 6, 2013 at the age of 84. Bill is survived by his wife, Thelma of 64 years on May 6, 2013; children: Tom (Sylvia), Howie (Brenda), Ron (Linda), Cathy (Norm), Carol (Lorne); grandchildren Harley (Amy), Darla (Jason), Leisa (Curt), Amy (Garret), Leah (Dallas), Regan (Jonathan), Jennifer (Jon), Joel (Allison), Eric (Cassidy), and Evan; sisters Maida (Barry), and Mona; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Clarence and Edythe; brothers Fred (Pamela) and Jack (Ester); brother-in-law Alvin; and granddaughter Jill. A Graveside Memorial will be held at Hillsdale Cemetery (15 miles south of Moose Jaw on Highway 2) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 with Reverend Lorne Calvert officiating. A Memorial Tea will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Zion United Church in Moose Jaw, Program at 3:00 p.m. In living memory of Bill, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
