It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Mary Merriam on May 8, 2013, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm and Louise Christie.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Adrian; daughter, Keri; and son, Donnie.; grandson Landon, whom she loved very much; sisters, Sharon (Darryl) MacDonald, Rose (Joe) Whalen and Veronica (Gerald) MacDougall; brothers, Malcolm, Joe (Linda), Robert (Jeannette), Kenny (Val), Billy (Patricia), George (Marlene), Gordon (June), Allen (Wanda) and Martin (Trudy); sister-in-law, Jean Merriam. Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews; also close friends, Thelma and Bernie Doucette.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 7 p.m. in the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory can be made to the ICU.
