The death occurred peacefully at Perrin’s Clinton View Lodge, Clinton, on Thursday, May 9, 2013, of Colleen Eleanor Gillis (nee Perry), formerly of Summerside, aged 61 years. Colleen was born on July 1, 1951, in Summerside. Beloved daughter of Guelda (Bobby) Perry of Summerside and loving mother of Sherry Gillis (Norman Little) of Summerside and Corey (Robin) Gillis of Miscouche. Also lovingly remembered by her 4 grandchildren: Katlyn and Ryan Paynter and Jessica and Kenny Gillis. Survived by her brothers and sisters: Otis Perry and Robin Johnson (Bobby) all of Summerside; Julie Perry, Vance Perry (Cathy), Trudy Fandrick (Terry), Mary Hope Kahl (John) and Leslie Perry (Garland) all of Medicine Hat, Alta.; and Nicol Campbell (Charlie Smith) of Hunter River. Also lovingly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Colleen was predeceased by her sister-in-law Brenda Perry. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Tuesday, May 14, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Colleen’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
