October 24, 1962-June 22, 2008 It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Janet Hansen on Sunday, June 22, 2008, after a valiant battle with cancer, at the age of 45. Janet was born in New Glasgow, N.S., but spent most of her early years in Howe Bay, P.E.I., with family and friends. It was always her wish to retire to the Island once her husband, David, retired from the military. Janet will forever be remembered by her husband, David, daughter Amee, step-daughters Winola (Nola), Sybil, stepson Trevor and stepdad Charles, as well as all those that she had touched during her brief, but fulfilling, life. Graveside service will be held at the People’s Cemetery on July 26, 2008, at 1 p.m. A reception will be held following the service.
