The death occurred peacefully, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown, on Friday, May 10, 2013, of Donnie Rogers, beloved husband of Barb MacLeod, of Charlottetown, age 75.
Donnie was the father of Jackie Noonan (Gerard) and Paul (Jennifer); and stepfather of Jason MacKay (Shannon) and Jeff MacKay (Nicole); and dear Papa to Eric Rogers (Marie-Pier) and Cole, Isaac, Julia and Jed Noonan; Donald and Ayrna Rogers; Cody and Brittany MacKay and Tate Williams MacKay. He was predeceased by his mother, Blanche (Woodside) Rogers and his brother, Wendell Rogers.
Honouring Donnie’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private family service will be held. His ashes will be interred in the family plot at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home would be appreciated.
The family would like to express their appreciation to all Donnie’s close friends who visited faithfully, and all who kept him in their thoughts and prayers.
