BOURGEOIS, ROMEO - 1925 - 2013 - Romeo Bourgeois, 88, of Moncton, formerly of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Saturday, May 11th, 2013, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB. Born in St-Paul-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Gilbert and the late Flora (née: Cormier) Bourgeois. Mr. Bourgeois was a WWII veteran having served in the army. He was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or de Dieppe, the Dieppe Veterans’ Association, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 6 and Sainte-Thérèse Parish. He is survived by his wife, Rose Irene (née: Bourgeois); one daughter, Linda of Oshawa, ON; five sons: Gerald of Toronto, ON, Raymond of Fredericton, Roger of Whitby, ON, Normand of St.-Louis and Gilbert of Oshawa, ON; two sisters: Bernice (Delphin) Deveaux and Lily Robinson, both of Dieppe; one brother, Delphis (Winnie) of Pointe-Claire, QC; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Irene and also by one brother, Rev. Yvon.
At his request, no visitation. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Tuesday, May 14th, 2013 at 11 am. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
