Bessie Bernice Munro (Rector) passed away quietly May 7, 2013 at Nanaimo Regional Hospital, Nanamio, BC.
She was a daughter of Robert and Ann (Auld) Rector, Thorburn.
She is survived by son William (Susan), Munro, Thorburn; daughter Sherry Moore, BC; son Robert Munro, Montreal; son Stephen (Suk Young) Munro, BC; as well as nephew Terry Rector and niece Bonnie Rector, to whom she was a second mother. Also surviving are brothers, William Rector, New Glasgow; Norman Rector, Valley View Villa.
She was predeceased by sisters, Mary MacAulay, Dolina Rector and Alexina Marshall; brothers, John, James and Daniel Rector.
She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces Jessie Terris, Stellarton; Susan Rector, Thorburn as well as many other nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Mona (Norman) Rector, Thorburn and Shirley (Jim) Rector, Thorburn.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place Friday, May 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the home of Bill and Susan Munro, 388 Highrow, Thorburn. Memorial service will take place Saturday, May 18, 11 a.m. at Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn.
