GAUVIN, ROBERT “BOB” - Robert "Bob" Gauvin, 75, of Grande-Digue, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born on May 25, 1937 in Dieppe, he was the son of the late Edgar and Annie (Cormier) Gauvin. He is survived by one step-daughter, Darlene Gauvin of Moncton; two sisters: Nadia Haché (late Gérard) of Gardner, MA, and Thérèse Peters (John) of Lunenburg, MA; two brothers: Henri (Maria) of Connecticut and Clarence (Maria) of Ste-Foy, QC, a special friend, Jackie Léger-Manuel of Moncton; 15 nieces and nephews: Raymond, Paul, Annette, John, Lisa, Karen, Christina, Gordon, Gary, Michael, Jamie, David, Michelle, Claude and René. He was predeceased by his wife, Prescilla (2003); two sisters: Bertha and Marguerite; one brother, Laurie.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 9:30 am until time of departure (10:20). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, 220 St. George Street, Moncton, on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 10:30 am. A reception will follow at Frenette Funeral Centre.
