Peacefully and surrounded by her family at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 of Mrs. Virginia Anne Younker (nee Lee) of Winsloe, in her 74th year.
Beloved wife of the late David B. Younker and dear mother of David (Kim), Anne (Jamie) Smith, Joey (Cathy), Ginny Younker (Dan Murray), Judy McInnis and Richard (Edna). She is also lovingly remembered by her 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Virginia is the sister of Joyce (Reginald dec) Murray, Harold (Sue) Lee, Jim (Patsy) Lee, Eleanor (Vince) Shea (dec), Florence (Victor) Clow (dec) and Clifford (Lorraine) Lee (dec). She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Richard (Eleanor) Younker and many nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Saturday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 6-9 p.m. (Please note change in visitation).
Members of St. Pius X CWL will hold a prayer service at the funeral home Friday at 5:30 p.m.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home.
