Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, a long time employee of the City of St. John’s Council, John Gladney aged 61 years. Leaving to mourn, his friend and wife of 32 years, Maureen Bell/Gladney; his two children: Jennifer and Ronnie Gladney; five step-children: Donny (Bev), Dorothy (Bob), Kim (Bob), Shawn (Stacey) and Mark; his sister Patsy McCallister (Jack deceased); brother Frank Gladney (Sheila); four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. As well as nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Thursday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2013 from Holy Rosary Church in Portugal Cove at 2 p.m. with cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the family or to a charity of one’s choice.
