Mary Angelina Babine (ANGIE) 79, died peacefully at home in Cedar Lake, on May 17, 2013 after losing her brave fight with lung cancer. Angie, a loving and kind-hearted woman, cared deeply about her family and every person she met, and is greatly missed by many. Angie's strong and unwavering faith strengthened her till the end. Born in Cedar Lake, Angie was a daughter of the late François (Frank) Céléno Doucette and Léonise (Eunice) Clements. She is survived by her husband Edward Babine (Nakile), her children Linda Babine (Cedar Lake), Karen Donnelly (USA), and Clifford Babine (USA), her siblings Pauline Muise and John Doucette of Yarmouth, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Lawrence and her sisters Léa, Françoise, Viola, Cerina, and Rose Marie. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. Funeral service was held at St. Ambrose Cathedral on Friday, May 24 at 10:00 a.m., Father John MacPherson officiated. A reception followed in the Jubilee room.
