Gerry "Fred" Clayton passed away on May 16, 2013, at 76 years old, at the Kamloops Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Kapuskasing, ON, he lived in the Ottawa Valley and Ottawa, ON before moving to Haney, B.C. in 1968. He lived for several years in Mission (Steelhead), B.C., before spending 15 years at Monte Lake where he had a sanctuary for a menagerie of unwanted goats, sheep, llamas, horses, dogs, cats and fowl. An outgoing, charismatic man, he helped many people and was always willing to give someone a break. A rugged individualist with strong work ethics, endurance and versatility, he saw opportunities everywhere and used them to make his living.
Gerry is predeceased by parents Alfred Clayton, Anna & Robert Lusk & brother Jim Lusk.

We wish to express our thanks and appreciation to all the staff at Kamloops Hospice for accommodating the needs of our family in a caring and compassionate way, all within a soothing, home-like atmosphere.
A Memorial Service followed by a tea will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25th at the Westwold Community Hall, 5108 Kamloops -Vernon Hwy.
