Lake, Percy Lawrence, 85, of Cambridge, Hants County, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 at home. Born on December 8, 1927 in Five Islands, Colchester County. He was the son of the late Henry and Annie (Anthony) Lake. Percy was a member of Cambridge Christian Assembly and he valued the fellowship of the assembly. He enjoyed sharing his love for music and golfing. Percy’s greatest love was his family and friends. He enjoyed going to Tim Horton’s socializing with everyone in Windsor. He was well-known for his sense of humour. Percy’s favourite hockey team was the Montreal Canadiens and he felt sorry for the Toronto Maple Leaf fans. Surviving are his wife the former, Marjorie McLellan; children, David (Anne), Norton, New Brunswick; Sandra Wilcox, Sudbury, Ontario; Elaine Redden (Garwin Burgess) , Kempt Shore; Tim (Shirley), Cambridge; Henry (Paula), Cambridge; foster son, Roger Martin, Shubenacadie; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; great great-grandchildren; step-children; Mary (Graham) Wilson,Dorothy (Nelson) MacAskil, Connie (Jim) Michaelis, Susan (Larry) McLellan, Martel McLellan (Bonnie Webb), brother, Walter (Eva), Windsor; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife, Melba; infant son, Percy Matthew; grandson, Jason Lake; brothers, Clarence, Bill, Bob, Gilbert, Herbert; sister, Frances; sons-in-law, Gary Redden, Howard Wilcox. Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 19th, 2013 in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service was held 2 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. Richard Morse and nephew, Percy Lake officiated. Interment was in High Head Cemetery, Cambridge. Donations in memory were requested to be made to the High Head Cemetery Fund, c/o of Paula Lake, (528-2366).
