It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Agnes, at Extendicare on Saturday May 25, 2013. Mom had been in declining health for the past year. Mom was born on February 15, 1930 and moved to the Crestwynd area with her family in 1943. She attended Westmount School in Moose Jaw and then Bevitt School in the Crestwynd area. Agnes was trained as a dressmaker and worked for Kristy Grants prior to her marriage to Leslie Cameron Barber on November 10, 1948. They farmed in the Crestwynd district for many years. Agnes is predeceased by her husband Les, mother and father Alexander and Elizabeth Macdiarmid; son-in-law Gardiner, all her brothers and sisters; as well as one niece and several nephews. She is survived by three daughters: Heather, Nealia (TJ), Averey and Jace, Megan (Des), Trystan and Kolten; Lee; Della, Sabrina (Yoel), Krista (Chris) and Isabella. The Funeral Service will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Saturday June 1, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Adam Driscoll will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Memorial donations in Agnes’ name to the Sask. Heart & Stroke Foundation, 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, S7K 2H8, would be appreciated. In living memory of Agnes, a memorial planting will be made by W.
