Claude Albert Dufour passed away May 25, 2013 at the Marjorie Willoughby Hospice Home in Kamloops.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Tobler; son Pierre Dufour (Margaret Bakelaar), granddaughter Karie Dufour (Lewis Gauthier) and great-granddaughter Lila Gauthier; daughter Suzanne (Dave) Anderson, grandchildren Terry and Katlin (Markem Noseworthy), great-grandchildren Zain, Allura and Drea Noseworthy; step-son Corey (Cheyenne Kennedy) Tobler, grandchildren Sheehan and Caleb; and step-son Kevin (Sue) Tobler, grandchildren Eric and Michaela.

Claude was born and raised in Saint Jerome, Quebec. After finishing school he went on to serve in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 20 years. Joining the Air Force in 1955 he enjoyed numerous postings in eastern Canada, France, eventually moving to Kamloops in 1972 and retiring from the air force in 1975. Claude was a founding member of the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans Club in Kamloops.
He worked a number of years in the RV business in the Kamloops area before finally retiring in the mid 90's. He spent his retirement years on the family acreage east of Kamloops with his wife Bonnie. Known as the (self-proclaimed) poor farmer he enjoyed raising cattle and gardening on the acreage. He liked making wine and was proud to show off his cellar. Claude was also an avid moose hunter, and enjoyed fishing and camping trips in the local area.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Claude's memory to the Kamloops Hospice.
The family would like you to join them for a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2013 at St. Andrews on the Square, 159 Seymour Street.
