It is with great sadness that the family of Gordon Edward Matheson announces his passing on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in Wetaskiwin, AB, after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer.
Gordon will be lovingly remembered by his children Garry, Debbie (Robert), Kevin, Deryl (Bev), Lori (Rod), Neville (Stephanie) and Jake, as well as his grandchildren, his large extended family and many friends both in Alberta and PEI. He is survived by his partner of over 30 years, Bernice Simms, and his former spouse, Eileen Matheson.
A celebration of Gordon’s life will take place in PEI at a later late date. If friends so desire memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society.
He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
