It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bernadette O’Pray, nee McIntyre at The Moncton Hospital, May 31, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving husband, children and sister.
Bernadette is survived by her husband of 46 years Darrell; children, Michael (Adrienne) Aundrea, Ian; and grandchildren, Harrison, Sophie, Stella and Zoe. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara and brothers, Clifford and Michael.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ambrose (Chubb) and Jesse McIntyre (Ferguson) as well as siblings, Helen, Margie, Angus and Mary.
A resident of Riverview, N.B. since 1974, she was born in Glace Bay, N.S., July 25, 1946. Bernadette was all about family, and never asked for anything except for happiness for her entire family. She was a very giving person who always did what needed to be done to make the lives of others more joyful and easy. She loved all kinds of music from Neil Diamond to Justin Timberlake. Gardening and interior design were but two of her passions, which were accompanied with impeccable taste.
Bernadette was also passionate about her sports especially hockey and was never afraid to share her opinion on this or any other topic of conversation. Yet her No. 1 passion and life’s work was without question her three children and her four grandchildren.
We Invite everyone to join our family in a celebration of her life with visitation at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview, 506-869-2007 on Tuesday, June 4 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, June 5, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers and sharing of memories to take place at 8:30 p.m. from the funeral home.
