Passed peacefully away on May 29 at Cross Cancer Centre, Edmonton, AB after a short battle with cancer at the age of 67. Roy was born in Bishop's Falls and grew up in St. John's, NL. Survived by wife Beulah (Park), Fort McMurray, AB (formerly of Cox’s Cove), NL; daughter Tammy Whalen, Canmore, AB; brother-in-law Algon (Olive) Park, Steady Brook; sister-in-law Lida (Wayne) Pear, Cox's Cove; brother Raymond Hillier, Fort McMurray, AB; nephews: Nathan Pear, Dale Park; nieces: Christa Pear, Michelle (Park) White. Predeceased by father-in-law Raymond Park and mother-in-law Annie Maude Park. At Roy's request cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held at Evangel Pentecostal Assembly, Edmonton, AB with Pastor Larry Lindoff officiating.
