Schofield, Robert Roy “Bob” – age 95 years, of Greenwich; passed away peacefully at the Blomidon Court Shannex on June 8, 2013. Born in Port Williams on October 3, 1917; he was the son of the late Archibald and Eva (Corkum) Schofield. Bob work as a carpenter for the majority of his life. Left with fond and loving memories are his children, Weldon Schofield of New Minas, Ladene Weir (Darrell Tracey) of Grand Pre, Sheldon (Marsha) Schofield of Hantsport and Eva Zintel (Mike) of Washington, USA; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; brother Fay; sisters Edith and Alberta; also by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his loving wife Luella (Tibbetts) Schofield in 2003; brothers Earl, Dean, Ronald, Rex; sisters Vilda and Evelyn. In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving visitors at the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville Chapel for an evening of sharing memories on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 7-9pm. A family graveside service will be held at the White Rock Cemetery on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 2pm with Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
