REGIS DE LA GORGENDIERE

REGIS DE LA GORGENDIERE

Regis A. de la Gorgendiere
Born Prince Albert, SK
September 3, 1931- June 4, 2013
81yrs
At sunrise on June 4th, 2013 Regis was returned home…a place that he profoundly spoke of.

He leaves behind in memory his seven children who deeply loved and cared for him: Randy, Alexis (Roger), Laurie (Mike), Robert (Connie), Patti, Donna (Rick), Nicole (Lane). Up until his final moments, they helped ease the pain at his bedside and also through prayers from afar; his six grandchildren that made him feel proud to be “Grandpa”/ “Papa”: Jessica (Monty), Matthew, Silas, Mohamed, Alyssa and Jagger. Each of them have personal and monumental imprints to reflect upon, to hold and to cherish through life’s endeavors. One loving sister, Joan Carraway and her family: Noralyn, Eddie (Ellen) and Heather all of South Carolina. Although living life many miles apart, Joan and Reg remained very close in heart. His sister is renowned and especially thanked for all her kind thoughts, words and the ever so many letters throughout the years; a special cousin, Marcel (Alison) de la Gorgendiere, with whom Reg spoke with high regard and shared genuine visits and kind gestures; one sister in law, Dorothy Poitras and her family who all had a fond place in Reg’s heart; many cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws and friends; Wayne Herauf, Bob Waine, Harry Greig, and the MacIsaac family are left to cherish the great memories, good fun and friendship they shared.
All through life’s trials and tribulations- Reg’s intellectual wit strongly remained within him and was very apparent. The humorous stories, jokes and one-liners kept all those who knew him laughing. They were appreciated and will never be forgotten.
As the sun rose this day, Reg will be greeted with open arms and once again reunited with those who went before him: Devoted wife, Delcie (Potts); loving parents, Norah and Alex; mother and father in law Louis and Hulda; brother in laws Edward Carraway, Joey Potts; son in law Bruce Rashbrook, nephew Corry Richards and grandson Jonathan Herauf.
