Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, June 10, 2013, Myrtle Slade of Salmon Cove, age 95 years. Predeceased by husband: Warrick; son: Nelson; sisters: Violet, Stella, Hilda and Beatrice. Leaving to mourn: one daughter: Bernice Slade, Salmon Cove; four sons: Lewis (Mildred), William (Gloria) both of Salmon Cove; Warren, Ontario and Samuel, Manitoba; nine grandchildren: Christopher (Carolann), Patricia (Eric), Dale (Denise), Darrell (Shelley), Ricky (Jennie), Trisha, Amanda, Ryan and Shane; thirteen great-grandchildren; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, June 12 at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove.
