Alexander Esau Parsons
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alexander Esau Parsons (1921-2013) of Parsons Pond, NL, announce his passing on Sunday, June 8, 2013 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 91 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children Vera (James) Lidstone of Hughes Brook, Thelma (Wally) Scott, Derrick (Hughena), and Evelyn of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Hayward (Melina) Portland Creek, Jenny of Corner Brook, Edith (Jerry), Joan (Junior), Wayne (Carla) of Parsons Pond, and Glen of Shilo, Manitoba; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers Rex (Jean), and Gerald (Marion); sisters Mildred Payne, Rowena Bavis, Daisy (Max) Payne, Josie Walters, and Edna Wentzell, and a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Maryjane, son Wilby, parents Eldrick and Gladys, son-in- law Bob, brothers and sister. Visitation took place at their family residence in Parsons Pond on Monday and Tuesday, Funeral service took place on Wednesday, June 12, at 2 p.m. from St. Peters Anglican Church with Rev. Jean Brenton-Hickman officiating, Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
