BAIANI, ITALO - 1945 - 2013 - Italo Baiani, 68, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 12th, 2013 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 2nd, 1945 in Elce, Italy, he was the son of Lucia (Marini) Baiani and the late Emidio Baiani. He came to Canada in 1953 with his family and has always resided in the Moncton area until his retirement when he and his wife moved to their cottage in Cap-Pelé. He was the owner and operator of Baiani Tile Ltd. from 1967 until his retirement in 2002. He was a hard worker and after his retirement he enjoyed woodworking and especially building beautiful furniture for his wife, family and friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids and going on many adventures with them, whether it was at the beach or nature park. His grandkids will always keep a special place in their heart for their time with their Pampy. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and spent many winters in Florida. Besides his mother, he will be sadly missed by his wife of 49 years, Janet (Garland) Baiani of Cap-Pelé; one daughter, Gina Fitzpatrick (Joseph) of Shediac; one son, Piero Baiani (Catherine Wilson) of Moncton; two sisters: Sr. Gina Baiani n.d.s.c. of Haiti and Maria DiSimone (Franco) of Oakridges, ON; five grandchildren: Megan, Sarah, Emilie, Brandon and Antonio, as well as Antonio’s mother, Monique. He will also be missed by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He was also a special Uncle Zio to all his nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by many other family members and friends.
By his personal request, there will be no viewing or funeral. A memorial will be held at a later date.
