The family of the late Melvin Lewis Smith wishes to thank everyone who helped and supported us during his illness and passing.

We especially thank the staff of the Chemo and Palliative Care Units at Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their professionalism and caring. In addition, we will always be thankful for the sympathy cards, gifts of food, visits to our home and the ­hospital, the phone calls and e-messages, flowers, and donations to the Hospital Foundation. Also a ­special thank you goes to our clergy, Archbishop Payne, Rev. B. Park, Rev. R. Payne and Rev. Russell for their support and work during Melvin’s illness and funeral.

All of your efforts helped us to deal with losing one so cherished.
