It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Mannie, age 67, on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at his home in London, Ont. He was the son of the late Peter ‘Mannie’ and Theresa (Thomas) McPhee.

After his military service, Mannie worked construction for many years, after which he fished out of Port Morien. Mannie is survived by his partner in life, and Mom to all, Sylvia (Lee); his children, Leslie and Francis; stepsons, Robert, Brian, Dan and Leonard; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandsons from Cape Breton and London. He also leaves his mother, Theresa, brothers, Jimmie (Angie), Dannie (Nancy), Bernie (Jan), Paul (Lorraine), Neil (Kim), John (Annette); his sister, Theresa Petrie and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marlene Sponagle; his father, Peter McPhee and brother-in-law, Andrew Petrie.
There will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 19, at St. Joseph's parish, Reserve Mines at 11 a.m. with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating. A luncheon will follow the service.
