BOLTON - Everett Snider 97 years passed away June 14, 2013 at the Palliser Regional Care Center. Everett is survived by his beloved wife, Amy, of 68 years, son, Gerald (Sheila) children Vince (Kathy) great grandchildren, Shae-Lynn & Kyla. Stacy (Jacquie). Son, Brent (Cyndi) children Ryan (Erin) Taylor (Melanie) & Meghan. Brothers, Harvey (Freida) and John.
Everett was born May 2, 1916 on the family farm in Scotsguard. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Octa, first wife Helga Olson, brother Murray, sister Thelma Beatty, 2 Sister In Laws Dorothy Bolton & Muriel Bolton. Everett attended Early School then went into farming in the Simmie district. He married Helga Olson in 1941 they had one son Gerald, Helga passed away in 1943. He continued farming then he met and married Amy Peterson in 1945 they had one son Brent. In the early years Everett took a custom combine crew to the USA, going to many states from Texas to Kansas. Everett loved farming and continued to help well into his 90's. He could be seen on his favorite little Spray Coupe for many years! Everett was a sports enthusiast playing for the Scotsguard Bombers & watching the SC. Broncos. He was a member of the SC Kiwanis Club, Elks Club as well as his investment Club. His life was his family, farming, the stock market and bridge. He had a wonderful life and will be deeply missed. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Gatzke, and long time doctor, Dr. David Johnston. Also for the exceptional care and compassion from the staff at Cypress Regional Hospital & Palliser Regional Care Center. A private family funeral was held June 18th at Parkside Memorial Funeral Home. Urn Bearers were, Vince and Stacy Bolton, a eulogy was read by Ryan Bolton and the service was ministered by Pastor Linda Hall. A reception was held at Wongs Kitchen banquet Room on Sunday, June 23. Memorial donations made to The Multiple Sclerosis Society, or Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated by the family.
