MARTIN, LOIS - Lois Chipman Martin, 90, of Sussex, passed away peacefully at the Sussex Health Centre on June 27, 2013. Born in Alma, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Bessie (nee Garrick) Dickson. Lois led an active social life in Sussex and loved music and dancing. She also enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and spending time with her family in Alma. Lois is survived by her children: Paul (Susan) Martin of Hampton, Heather (Peter) Easson of Wolfville, and Tony Martin of Alma; grandchildren: Sarah and Craig Martin, and Ben and Jeff Easson; sisters: Helen Earle and Barbara Steeves, both of Riverview; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Besides her parents, Lois was predeceased by her loving husband, Oscar; brothers: Darrell, Arthur, and Donnie Dickson; and sister, Jean Weaver.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 9 pm; the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at 11:00 am at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home. Interment will be held at the Stewarton United Church Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Society or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
