Helen Veronica Ginter passed away suddenly on July 4, 2013, at the Red Deer Hospital at the age of 64. She was surrounded by family and passed peacefully.
Helen was born Dec. 12, 1948, in New Waterford, Cape Breton, N.S.
Helen was predeceased by her mother, Theresa; father, Clarence (Biffo); sisters, Theresa George and Mary Kinzett.
Helen is survived and will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 45 years, Cecil Sr.; sons, Cecil Jr. (Jehoiada) Ginter, Kenneth (Carrie) Ginter, Michael Ginter and daughter, Tesa (JD) Leeder; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Shanaya, Byron, Zach, Tyler, Brady, Kelsi, Kendall, William and Nova and great-grandson, Caleb; brothers, John, Clarence (Bud), Paddy (Brenda), Tony, Tommy (Regina), Michael (Joan), Kenneth/Stetson (Paula) and sister, Carmel (David) McWhirter; brothers-in-law, Brad Kinzett and Len George. Helen will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, (her special nephew Troy Griffin) and the many kids she babysat and called her own and also by numerous family members, close friends and co-workers.
We all knew Helen to be loving, caring and kindhearted not only to her family and friends but also to anyone she encountered though out her life. Helen had a heart of gold, willing to give anyone a hand in need. Helen will be remembered as one who went out of her way to make time for those who needed a hand, regardless of how busy she was.
Funeral services for Helen Veronica Ginter will be held at Rocky Mountain House Funeral Home in Rocky Mountain House, Alta., 4803-48 St., on Tuesday, July 9 at 10 a.m. A tea in memory of Helen will follow afterwards.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in Helen's name to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
