CAVANAUGH, ETHEL - Mrs. Ethel Margaret Cavanaugh, wife the late James Cavanaugh, of Upper Blackville, NB, passed away in Moncton on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the age of 99. Born in Blissfield, NB she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Hurley) Weaver. She was a homemaker and a member of the Our Lady of Annunciation Church, Doaktown, NB. She was also a member of the CWL and the Upper Blackville Women’s Institute. She is survived by her daughters, Joanne (Steve Sachs) of Riverview, Betty Anne Perry (Ron) of Riverview and Barbara Cavanaugh (Mick) of Moncton NB; one son John (Connie) of Miramichi, NB; her daughter in law Judy Cavanaugh of Bathurst, NB; her 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; her special friends Merle and Faye Brophy; and special caregivers, Mary, Helen, Joy and Dianne. Besides her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her son Ronnie and her grandson Andrew.
Mrs. Ethel Margaret Cavanaugh is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 579 Main Street, Doaktown, with visitation on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 10 am at Our Lady of Annunciation Church, Doaktown, with Father Joseph Okoko officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In her memory, donations to a memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated.
