Frederick H Vansnick, 85 years of age, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Joggins, he was a son of the late Peter & Kathryn (Gibbons) Vansnick.
Fred worked hard all his life in the Coal Mines, Saw Mills, and working in the woods. Dad was a very caring and giving person. He was full of history and stories.
Fred leaves to mourn his best friend and companion, Eleanor Fillmore and her daughter Joan & her fur kids, son, Bill (Fiona) & boys ; Fred's children, John (Geri), Ruthie (Ron) Kathryn, Harley (Correen), Ann (Jim); eighteen grandchildren, twenty five great grand children and many relatives.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, the former Margaret Mattinson; sons, Freddie and Eric; daughter Marilyn.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, River Hebert. A time of remembrance will be held at the Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, River Hebert on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 1- 4 p.m.
