46 of Lake Echo, N.S., passed away at the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Saint John, N.B., he was a son of June (Weatherbie) and the late Richard Glencross, son-in-law to Donald and Karen Chandler (P.E.I.).
Donald was a wonderful husband and father to his three children, whom he loved dearly. He was a car enthusiast, passionate about all things, Formula One, Ferrari and Porsche. A graduate of NSCAD, Donald worked at Defense Research Development Canada as a photographer/videographer and was able to see the beauty of the world through the eyes of a camera lens. With work, he participated in several unique opportunities, including travelling to Devon Island and The North Pole while documenting scientific research. Forever the "funny man" Donald had a way with people and was so loved by so many.
Survived by wife, Jill Chandler; sons, Rowan and Cooper Glencross; daughter, Darcy Jane Glencross; brothers, Alan Glencross (Patty) and Dan Glencross (Margot); brother-in-law to Tim Chandler (Natasha) and Lisa Chandler; several nieces and nephews, Jason, Laura, Shawn, Kelsea, Lali and Enzo.
Visitation will be held at Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, Friday, July 12, 4-7 p.m., and where funeral service will be held Saturday, July 13, at 11a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Sheila MacDonald officiating. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, a trust account will be set up for the children's education fund. In the interim, cheques can be made payable to Jill Chandler (in trust).
