Normand "Norm" Bourque
BOURQUE, NORMAND “NORM” - 1945 - 2013 - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Normand “Norm” Bourque 68 of Villa Providence in Shediac, formerly of Dieppe. Born in St. Anselme, March 4, 1945, he was the son of the late Maurice and late Dorice Bourque. Norm will be sadly missed by Lorette (Leger), his wife of 44 years, two loving daughters, Lisa (Marc) Brun and Lynne (Daniel) Gaudet, a grandson, Justin, and two grand-daughters, Isabelle and Kloé. He is survived by two brothers, Léonard (Lucille) Bourque and Ronald (Phyllis) Bourque, both of Orleans, Ontario; a sister, Dianne (Arthur) Belliveau, of Memramcook; as well as several nephews. At a young age, Norm began his career at Mother’s Own Bakery. He then worked at the Université de Moncton cafeteria until he accepted the challenging job of manager and later owner of Elmer’s Pizza, in Dieppe. He then worked as field consultant for Decker Boy, followed by Department Supervisor at Barbour’s Food. In 1991, Norm became founding owner of Norm’s Pizza, in Dieppe, where he enjoyed most of all greeting and serving his customers until his retirement. Norm had a great interest in Dieppe’s municipal politics, in which he served many years as a counsellor and deputy mayor. He enjoyed family time at the beach in Cap-Brûlé, and had a passion for music and the gift of entertaining people. Norm was a happy soul and will be mostly remembered for his kind heart, big smile and generosity toward others.
