Adrian Michael Francis, 34, Membertou formerly of Potlotek, passed away suddenly in Ottawa on July 13, 2013.
Born in Inverness, he was the son of John Jones, British Columbia and Anne Marie (Francis) Marchand, Potlotek.
He is survived by his companion, Karina Matthews, Sydney; daughters, Maureen Nicholas, Potlotek, Kyra Matthews, Avaeh (Sage) Francis, Pelonik 'Baby Pel' Francis, Membertou; sons, Evan Dennis, Eskasoni, Roman Francis, Eel Ground, Jacob Francis, Manitoba, Tyson Fredrick Francis, Membertou; brothers, Michael (Tracey) Basque, Sydney, Sean Francis, Sydney, Tyrone Jones, Splatsin, B.C.; sisters, Angela Adams, Chelsea Marie Jones, Olivia Jones, all of Splatsin, B.C.; only godchild, Aspin Kateri Basque; stepsons, Donovan and Randy.
He was predeceased by his dad, Michael Basque Sr.; paternal grandparents, John and Dorothy Jones; best friend, Jaret Johnson; uncles, Clarence, Faron; aunts, Ann Margaret, Cyrilla, first cousin, Anton and also the mother of his first born child, Margaret (Sissy) Nicholas.
Visitation will take place at the home of his mother, Anne Marie (Francis) Marchand, 64 Old Band Office Rd., Potlotek on Saturday from 3 p.m. until Monday. Funeral mass will be offered on Monday afternoon July 22 at 2 p.m. in St. Peter's Catholic Church, St. Peter's with Rev. Dennis Lamey officiating. Cremation to follow. Burial will take place at a later date. A Salite will be held following the funeral mass at the Potlotek school gym.
