The death occurred peacefully, with family by his side, at the Prince County Hospital, on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, of Cody Gallant of Summerside and formerly of Mayfield, age 60. Cody is survived by two daughters; a stepson; brothers, Gordon (Pearl), Harvey (Bernadette), Vernon (Jeannie) and Gary (Marlene); sisters, Bernice Doiron (Martin deceased), Louise Doiron (Elmer), Kathleen Hughes (Terry, deceased); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Marion (Doiron) Gallant; brothers, Charlie, Walter (Bridie) and Erwin; sister, Shirley; nephew, Danny; and niece, Barbara. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Friday, July 26, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Hope River, on Saturday, July 27, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Anne’s Cemetery.
