It is with sad and heavy hearts that the family of Milton Thomas Osmond, Proprietor of Osmond’s Garage, Topsail Road, announce his passing after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents, Bertram and Gladys Osmond; sister, Joan Wall and niece Lynette Wall. Leaving to remember and cherish his life; wife Hazel (nee Stockley) of 59 years, 8 months; his four children and seven grandchildren; Keith (Leslie Anstey) Blair, Gavin; Karen (Kirk Howell); Nancy (Daryl Scott); Bert (Karen Walsh) Claire, Jane; and Byron (Tracy Ropson) Victoria (Andy Spencer), Julianne; sisters: Joyce Peddle and Gloria Boutcher (Rayfield), British Columbia; brothers-in-law: Derek (Beth) and Francis Stockley (British Columbia) and sister-in-law, Pearl (Wendell) Flint (Arkansas); uncles Nathan and Doug Osmond. Also a large circle of family and friends in Newfoundland and St. Petersburg, Florida. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the Salvation Army St. John’s Citadel, Adams Avenue. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army St. John’s Citadel Junior Band.
