TRECARTIN, MAUDE ARLENE - (1933 - 2013) - Mrs. Maude "Maudie" A. Trecartin of North Head Grand Manan Island passed away peacefully at the Grand Manan Hospital Thursday, July 25, 2013 with her son Anthony by her side after a brief illness. Born on White Head Island she was the daughter of the late Harley and Arlene (Morse) Cossaboom. Maudie devoted her life to caring for her son Scott. Over the years, her home was a welcoming place for her family and friends to gather. Maudie will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her son Anthony (Carol Ann) Outhouse of Grand Harbour. Two much loved grandchildren Michelle Outhouse (Chris Simms), Michael (Janica) Outhouse, and her four great grandchildren; Cassidy and Maria Simms and Carter and Jordyn Outhouse. Also her sister Elaine Cossaboom of Montreal PQ, her special niece Kimberly Allan of Grand Harbour, great nephew Adam Allan of Montreal, PQ. Close family friend Allan (Annette) Newman of Castalia, and dear friend Gail Ingersoll. Her step children Dale Trecartin of Nova Scotia, and Brenda Newman of Saint John. Her nieces and nephews; Miriam McCraken of Sarnia, ON, Blaine Cossaboom of Grand Harbour and Blanchard Cossaboom of Sarnia, ON. She was predeceased by her infant son Joel, her beloved son Scott in 2011. Her first husband Glendon Outhouse in 1969, and her second husband William Trecartin in 1984. Also her brother Eugene Cossaboom and her sister-in-law Norma Cossaboom.
Maudie has requested a private ceremony with her immediate family. The family has requested that donations may be made to the White Head Baptist Church, White Head Community Cemetery, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
