MacDONALD, MARION A. - 1924-2013 - Miramichi - Marion Alma MacDonald, loving wife of Leigh C. MacDonald, of Route 117, Napan, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday evening, July 26, 2013, at the age of 89. Born in Napan Bay, NB, on March 17, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Elva (Taylor) MacInnis. She was a homemaker and a member of Carmel United Church, Napan. She is survived by her husband, Leigh; one son, Terry MacDonald (Eleanor), of Napan; five grandchildren, Roger, Keith, Stephen, Annette and Cory; ten great-grandchildren, Cody, Jared, Jade, Bailey, Benjamin, Jocelyn, Terry Lee, Andrew, Rhiannon and Julian; two brothers-in-law, Byron Sweezey, of Napan Bay and Eldon Sweezey, of Sagus, MA, USA. She was predeceased by one grandson, Adam MacDonald; two sisters, Adele Sweezey and Arlene Sweezey; one brother, Burton MacInnis and his wife, Mona.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 2:00 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Carmel United Church or the Black River Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.
