Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at his late residence in Conception Harbour, on Saturday, July 27th, 2013, Samuel W. Ghaney - Age 78 years. Predeceased by his parents: Thomas and Nora; son: Walter; sister-in-law: Marguerite Ghaney; brother-in-laws: Michael Moore, Patrick Doyle, Richard Rose and Charles Rose. Leaving to mourn his wife Florence; son Ronald; brothers: John (Rose), Patrick (Madonna), Gordon (Olive), and Charles; sisters: Marcella Doyle (Patrick deceased), and Mary Moore (Michael deceased). Also leaving to mourn his nieces and nephews, extended family and friends, and his special neighbor and devoted friend Marion Walsh (Walter), and special friend and homecare worker Valerie Lynch. A special thank-you to Dr. Russell Lake for his excellent care, the staff of the Dialysis Units at the Waterford Hospital and Health Science Centre, and especially to Marion Walsh and Valerie Lynch for their outstanding care and compassion. Resting at Conway’s Funeral Home, Conception Harbour with visitation on Monday, July 29th from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm, and Tuesday, July 30th from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, July 31st, 2013, at 10:30am from St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Conception Harbour.
