OLFERT: Johnny Richard "Rick" Olfert, age 64 years, of Wymark, SK, passed on away July 24, 2013 at the Palliser Regional Care Centre, Swift Current, SK. A Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m., July 27, 2013 at the Wymark Community Rink, with Debbie Beaulieu officiating. The Interment was held at the Chortitz Cemetery and the pallbearers were Landin Olfert, Sean Olfert, Shaun Ericksen, Greg Dahl, Sheldon Nelson and Mitchel Nelson. Rick is survived by his wife, Gloria; his children, Krista (Shaun) Ericksen and their daughter Irelynn, and Camilla (Greg) Olfert and their daughter Daylin; son, Landin; sister, Patsy (Ken) Nelson and their children: Mitchell and Sheldon; niece Michelle (Trampas) Ashton and their daughter Bretlyn; and nephew Sean Olfert. Rick was predeceased by his father, Frank Olfert (Oct. 12, 1991) and his mother Mary Olfert (Nee: Giesbrecht) July 16, 1991. Rick was born in Swift Current January 3, 1949. He attended school at Versaille and in Wymark, SK. He was united in marriage to Gloria Fehr on October 17, 1970. He was employed at the Superior Engine Company in Swift Current. His special interests included auction sales, fishing, and coin collecting. Memorial donations in Rick's memory to the Palliser Regional Care Centre Activity Fund, would be appreciated by the family.
