John Anaka passed away at his home with his family by his side on July 28, 2013. He is predeceased by his parents Michael and Kathrina; wife Pat; sisters Effie and Mary; infant brother William; and niece Patricia. John is survived by his wife Linda; brother Steve (Lois); son Kelly (Shelley) and Kelly’s mother Shirley; daughters Debbie, Cathy, Cory (Eldon); step-children Carson (Julie), Chris (Leanne) and Shauna (Jamie) ; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law Felix and Pete; three nieces; two nephews and one great-nephew. John worked at 7up for two years and then for Coke until his retirement. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, CB and Ham radios, camping and travelling. Following cremation a family graveside will be held at a later date. Memorials in John’s name may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St. W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2M2.
