McNAMARA, MARGUERITE EMILY (nee CORMIER) - Born in Moncton, NB December 7, 1924. Died peacefully at Trillium Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario on July 29, 2013. Predeceased by her loving husband Daniel Joseph, Marguerite was the daughter of the late Emile Cormier and the late Alma Melanson. She will be sadly missed by her children Brian (Caroline), Glenn, and Mary Jane (John Walsh) and grandchildren Emily, Sean, Alyson and Daniel. Loving sister of Theresa (Bob Bernard) and predeceased by sisters Julie (Edmond Leger), Gerene (Eddie O’Brien), Orida (Russell Colman) and brothers Leo (Mildred), Aldor, and Gerard (Germain). Marguerite was an avid reader and had the Globe and Mail’s Cryptic Crossword completed before many of its readers had risen. Passionate about traveling, she regularly visited New Brunswick and her favourite destination was Paris. She was a meticulous homemaker, seamstress, organizer and cook. Marguerite doted on her family and enjoyed wonderful relationships with family, friends and neighbours.
Visitations will be at Skinner and Middlebrook Funeral Home, 128 Lakeshore Rd E (1 block west of Hurontario St) Mississauga from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Thursday, August 1st. Funeral Mass at St. Christopher’s Church, 1171 Clarkson Rd N, Mississauga on Friday, August 2nd at 11 am. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Covenant House, Toronto or a preferred charity.
