Ida Blyth

BLYTH, IDA - It is with heaviness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Ida Mary Blyth on July 30, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital at the age of 77 years. Born May 26, 1936, she's the daughter of the late John and Annie (Walker) Bonnell. Predeceased by her late Husband Andrew in 2001. Ida will be greatly missed by her church family of the Chipman United Church. Ida was an avid Legion and Axillary member of Branch # 74. Those who knew her, knew the Legion was her life. She was well known for her cooking whether it be for the Community Supper or various Legion events. She worked as a volunteer on the WG Bishop Nursing Home board, the VON Foot Clinic, Visitation of the Vets for the DVA in Fredericton, expert Bingo caller both at the Legion and on television. Ida was an elder in the Chipman United Church, as well as any other activity someone needed her to do. She was our support, our confident, our Mom and Grandmom. She is survived by sons, William Blyth, his son, Theo, Greg (Amanda); David Blyth (Debbie), his son David Jr; Jim Blyth (Rose), his sons, Sandy (Laura), Terry (Lacey) and daughter, Donna (Ryan); Mark Blyth (Mindy), his daughters, Jenna, Kaitlyn, Ashey and son, Jacob, William. Daughters, May Norcott (Gary), their son, Greg (April) and daughter, Lindsay; Linda Kaulbach (Rose), her son, Donnie (Lindsay), Michael (Alicia), Christopher (Alissa) and daughter, Holly (Eric), Ashley (Josh); Lorraine Saulnier (Thomas), their daughter, Exeline (James) and son, Geoffrey (Laura); Step son, Andy (Elyse) Blyth, their daughter, Allison. Great Grandchildren, Andrew, Keaton, Carter, Kennedy, Marrissa, Lyla, Emeline, Mia, Rory, Seth, Hunter, Myah, Jayce, Hunter Rose and Lily; brother, Clarence Bonnell (Marjorie). She was predeceased by infant daughter, Phyllis; son, Warren; granddaughter, Andrea; great grandson, Michael; brothers, Harold, John, Borden, Elmer; sisters, Irene, Dorothy, Lena and and Thelma.
The family will receive comfort on Thursday August 1st, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the Chipman Funeral Home (339-6612). The legion will hold a service at 6:45 Thursday evening. Funeral service to be held at the Chipman United Church, Friday, August 2nd, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Interment in the Red Bank United Church Cemetery following the service.
