It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Peter Kulba, Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the QEH in Charlottetown, P.E.I., at the age of 80 years. Peter was surrounded by his loving wife, Helen (Martino); beloved daughters, Linda and Gloria; son-in-law, Bruce (Lyng); and the Lord by his side.
Peter believed in many miracles, to name but a few: his family and his wife Helen, who he has known and loved since the age of 17. Two true soul mates forever. His grandchildren, Melissa, Kimberly, Laura, Christopher, Katrina, Craig and Keenan, all of whom were his pride and joy. He will be dearly missed by his son-in-law, Michel (Filiatrault); his sisters, Annie (John Harris) and Helen (Jones); brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law along with many nieces, nephews, friends and anyone that came to know him.
He was also blessed by the caring nurses and staff of the hospital who gave him excellent and compassionate care. A special thanks goes out to Father George Gilliland and Kim Bustard, Dr. Gillis, Dr. Craswell and Dr. Fleming, who comforted Peter during his illness.
Peter was profoundly religious and knew he would be greeted in heaven by the Lord and Daniel, his departed son. We love you dearly and there will not be a day that goes by without you in our thoughts. Your laughter and "GIGI" humor will be part of us forever.
Funeral mass to be held at St. Martin of Tours Church, Cumberland, at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013. Visitation will be held in the church from 12 noon until 12:45 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
If so desired, memorials to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
