It is with great sadness that the families of Herbert Joseph Rubia announce his sudden passing at the Deer Lake Manor, in Deer Lake, on Tuesday, August 6th, 2013, in his 69th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Dwight (Harmony); two granddaughters: Isabel & Abby; siblings: Maggie, Corona, Winnie, Rita, Lawrence, Roy & Marcel; sister-in-law Violet Rubia. Herbert was predeceased by his parents; Allan & Rose Rubia, siblings: Dan, Isadore, Charlie, Allan Jr, Ray, Anna & Metilida. Also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family & friends. The family will be receiving family and friends from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Thursday, August 8th, 2013, from the hours of 7-9 pm and continuing on Friday, August 9th, 2013, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, August 10th, 2013 at 10:30 am at the Immaculate Conception Parish Roman Catholic Church in Deer Lake, NL, with Fr: Boland officiating, with the burial to follow at the Wight's Road Cemetery, in Deer Lake, NL.
