Passed peacefully away, surrounded by her loving family, at the Miller Center Palliative Care Unit, on Thursday, August 15, 2013, Rose McCue of Georgetown, aged 73 years. Predeceased by her parents: Alice & William McCue; sisters: Theresa, Mary (Jack Shea); brothers: Tom and Jack; nieces: Sharon Shea & Renee Roache; nephew, Tommy McCue; special friend, Alice Walsh. Left with fond and loving memories her brother, Patrick with whom she resided and cherished dearly, sister Sue (Brian Roache) who was her guardian angel and best friend and cared for her, never leaving her side, during her illness; sister-in-law Evelyn McCue and close family friend Tom Linthorne, also left a large number of nieces & nephews who adored their kind and loving aunt Rose, also left other close family and friends. Heartfelt thanks go out to Dr. Greenland and nurse Suzy Power of the Cancer Clinic, also to Dr. Eaton and nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit, nursing staff of St. Clare's and 4NA, HSC, your compassion and care for Rose will not be forgotten. Resting at Broughton's Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation on Saturday & Sunday from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's Church, Brigus with interment to follow in the R.C.
