JARDINE, MICHAEL LOUIS - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden death of Michael Louis Jardine of New Maryland. He passed away in the morning of August 17th at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital at the age of 65. Mike lived a fruitful, wonderful life and touched so many lives along the way. Whether it was through cutting hair, carving - competing and recently teaching, boating down the river or his many trips to the bay, golfing with friends (not to forget the "Hole in One"), or tirelessly volunteering with the New Maryland Lion's Club, there was always a smile on his face and many laughs to be had. Mike leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Lucy, and daughter Sarah. He will be deeply missed by his siblings Ron (Pat), Frank (Mary), Jack (Melanie), Jean (Dave), and Paul (Gail) and his numerous nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by his long time business partner, Luke Kelly and all of the past and present employees of Headmasters/Headmistress. My dad did many things well, but he did one thing exceptionally well, he could make every one of us smile just by being in the room. He will be deeply missed by anyone who had the honour of knowing him.
The family will be receiving visitors at Bishops Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 6 to 9 pm. In celebration of his life, a Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 21st at 12 Noon at St. Dunstan's Parish, 120 Regent Street, with Father Monte Peters officiating.
