Harry Pickles
Pickles, Harry Victor – Age 73, Chaswood, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2013 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, with family by his side. Born in Halifax on July 3, 1940, he was a son of the late James and Lorna (Jennings) Pickles.
Harry was a well loved and respected truck driver for many years. He had a love for music festivals, camping, meeting lots of new and old friends. He loved to work in his vegetable garden. He was well loved and will be sadly missed by his wife, the former Sylvia Dunlap; children, Sherry (Gordon “Art”) Joyce, Coldstream; Wayne (Rosemary), Chester; Colin (Karen), Truro; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brother, Murray (Louise), Gaetz Brook. He was predeceased by grandson, Colin; sister, Ada; brother, Stanley.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, and funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, both in Middleton United Church, Middle Musquodoboit, Rev. Michael Henderson officiating. Private burial at a later date in Hillside Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association.
